I guess WT takes the midi messages when it follows along, jumps back/forth, and loops, phew! So you do not need it to Rewire, cause you keep the WT window open, let it float above the Reason sequencer window, and just hit Space bar and 1 or 2 to play/move the Reason sequencer as normal, and that works fine. It shows a message it is missing Rewire, but nothing else seems spooky, that is great. You cannot set Reason's loop markers or move Reason's play marker from inside of W Tune, that is the Rewire control.

Looking at it, the issue you may have is that it syncs with the sequencer via Rewire and Reason cannot be a Rewire host. It is only a 7d trial, so would be nice to get some hints of what it does well and not so well. Has anybody use used Waves Tune in Reason? Thoughts? It it will not give any midi notes either. I'm also struggling with getting the reason pitch detection to pick up the notes of live electric bass, so then you cannot do any correction at all, it just gets totally bad if you touch it. The vibrato can maybe be fun for effects, or just a subtle addition once in a while. It's pretty old and has a small window for editing, but the 'draw a line' to create smooth transition over a few keys and adding a fake vibrato, seems to be useful features that we cannot do in the Reason pitch editor.Ĭutting a note into many small segments and trying to get a smooth new transitions in Reason is very hard, in Waves, you just draw a line and it creates new segments for you automatically and in snaps to scale! If you got the timing slightly off, you just draw a new line, no need to paste together and re-cutting.
